It’s Sunday afternoon in July. A quick Vespa flies into a round square of an ancient Sicilian city. A man and a woman are riding the scooter. They are both young, bronzed with suntan and inspiringly happy. Having shouted something to a group of persons on a café terrace, they hide behind the grey corner of a fruit store. The couple is darting away from the city, to the orange groves sparkling with bright sunshine. Citrus trees cover the whole beach, and the island, when viewed from the sea, seems to be made of gold. High up above the cliffs and gardens there is the sun – a big juicy grapefruit in a sherbet glass with icy topping made of clouds. “At that point I realized that happiness has its own scent”, said  Pierre Bourdon when describing the image which inspired him to create Donna Felice and Uomo Felice duo fragrances.

 Uomo Felice was created for Faberlic by the world-known French perfumer Pierre Bourdon.

Fragrance: woody and citrus.

Top notes remind of a breeze that brings the scents of a rocky Sicilian beach: bergamot, sweet lemon, tangerine, melon, pineapple, rosemary . Light freshness of the dominating citrus accord transforms into masculine lavender notes emphasized with violet and orange blossom. In the bottom of the composition there is the soft warmness of oakmoss, patchouli and a powdery undertone.

The olfactory pyramid is a professional term used to divide fragrances into accords. A fragrance consists of three accords which speak sequentially: top (initial) notes, body notes and bottom (base) notes. The literal meaning of olfactory is “sense of smell”. Uomo Felice’s olfactory pyramid:
