blond-blond

Question: I have dyed my hair black with various drugstore brands of hair dye. Can I use Faberlic’s “Super Blonde” cream-dye to lighten it and get rid of the black (without damaging my hair)? If yes, how many times will I need to colour?

The Expert’s answer: It is possible to lighten hair from black using Faberlic's “Super Blonde”. The question is, how light do you want your hair to be?

The first lightening damages hair for about 30%, and the same subsequent treatment will lead to even more damage. It’s not particularly recommended to lighten hair again without a 3-4-week break in between.

If after lightening, you want to neutralize red tones (yes, it’s possible), then bear in mind that your hair has become more sensitive to oxidative hair dyes, and think about whether you need to go with a lighter shade or use balms or shampoos with toning properties.
