Any business is primarily about people. And the network business – especially. Today, when stability of foreign companies has been shaken, a huge number of employees have faced a choice: to wait for the situation to normalize, or to move on without delay. Oksana Gulymanova, the former leader of the American company Avon, decided to move forward and together with her team went to the Russian Faberlic, where she was able to achieve tremendous success in the shortest possible time. Oksana shared with us the reasons for this choice.
- Oksana, tell us a little about yourself. How did you get into the MLM business? What did you do before?
- I got into MLM business as a third-year university student. Initially, I was attracted by additional income, I considered this business solely as a temporary source of income. But, as it turned out, a temporary source can easily turn into a permanent one and stretch for decades.
- And at that time did you have any options, did you choose between companies? After all, until today there were quite a lot of them in the Russian market.
- In fact, I didn't have many choices, or at least I didn't think about it. I came to Avon simply on the recommendation of a friend, and I simply did not know any other network companies at that moment.

- We heard that you have a pretty big team now. Please tell us how you collected it? Were there any difficulties?
- I've been building my team for about 20 years. I've always enjoyed working with people: I like to find my own key to each person. Motivate, encourage, inspire – this is mine!
There were, of course, difficulties – how without them! Now I remember my first team meetings, which were attended by about five people… A young, frightened girl who had difficulties holding such performances. But, despite this, I moved forward, and time after time I got better and better. A few years later, I was already performing on a big stage at Crocus City Hall in front of thousands of people!
For me, the main principle of building a team is to show the result by my own example. Any innovation, a new recruiting method, a new idea, I first test myself, and then share the results with people. And these results inspire them.
- When you had to choose a new path, why did you choose Faberlic?
- Back in the fall of 2021, I realized that I needed to look for a new network company – one in which there would be development opportunities for all my people. I studied a lot of brands, compared, analyzed, and eventually chose Faberlic. The most important thing that attracted me was the assortment! Sales in our business is a powerful tool for development. And when there is something to sell, the opportunities increase accordingly. And Faberlic definitely has something to sell! And people's orders are sales of partners. Partner sales are partners' income. So our income directly depends on the assortment of the company.
The second point that attracted me to Faberlic is that the company is Russian. In the current political situation, this is of great importance and, in my opinion. Stability is extremely important. Well, another factor that played a role was Faberlic marketing and bonuses for a quick start. This is exactly what we need right now!
- What differences did you see in the first place?
- The first thing I saw at Faberlic was the income of 23% from the personal group that the director receives. This is a huge difference with the systems of other network companies! Excellent assessment of the work of all partners and strong motivation to grow their teams.
The second difference is, once again, the assortment. By offering the Faberlic catalog to people who previously ordered Avon, we see how impressed they are with the variety! Representatives send orders with great pleasure and desire, and from catalogue to catalogue the profit grows by itself. After trying the product, people immediately tell their friends, relatives, neighbours, acquaintances about it – and orders increase.
And the third is the maneuverability of the company and a look ahead. It seems that the brand has plans for many years, that they are all thought out to the smallest detail. Decisions are made quickly, promptly, and now it is very important. There is no time to swing. As they say: time is money! And Faberlic understands this well.
- How did your team perceive the transition from an American company to a Russian one in general? Did everyone agree?
- My whole team went with me! Initially, I planned, as always, to try everything on my own experience and only then lead the team. Having made a decision, I voiced the arguments to the leaders. And everyone answered me: "I'm coming with you!". As a result, after spending a week in calls with all partners, we entered Faberlic quickly and immediately with the whole team! Without exaggeration, we acted like one family.

- And finally, tell us, have you already managed to get your favourite products in a new company? What do you advise to try?
- Oh, yes! I make personal orders with great pleasure! And, of course, there are already their favourites. First, the fragrance Jemma El Fna from the oriental collection. This is my favourite, it's just incredible! The LED face mask is just fantastic! Something innovative, technological – every time the delight of using. And, of course, all household cosmetics are of the highest quality, this is noted by absolutely everyone who tries it.
- Oksana, thank you for the interview. We are sure that your example will be indicative for many: the time of change is a time of great opportunities!
