Manicure is one of the most troublesome procedures of your regular routine. All your efforts may be wasted because of one little thing that you've missed!

Save your beauty and remember seven “noes” for your masterpiece.

1. Don't apply nail polish to unprepared nails.

No rules will do you any good if you haven't removed grease from your nails before applying nail polish. After you remove dirt from your nails don't touch them – that may destroy all your efforts.

2. Don't make manicure without base and top coats.

Always apply protective base as a first layer. Apply two-three layers of a coloured nail polish and use a special formula to fix it. You need at least three minutes to let each layer dry off before applying the next one, the best result will be achieved if you wait ten minutes.

3. Don't leave nail tips unpainted.

We speak about the front edge of the nail that is often left uncared. The very tip of a nail is a place where the most flakes appear – if you “lock” it with nail polish and top coat like the salons do you will keep your fashionable manicure for much longer.

4. Don't dry your nail polish with hot air.

Hairdryer is a bad friend for manicure. Hot air changes the structure of your nail polish, makes it less strong. Better let the polish dry without any assistance – it is longer but safer.

If you have coating on your nails it will flake if you file it. In case you change the form of your nails you need to reapply base coat and nail polish.

6. Don't wash dishes without gloves.

Avoid any contact of your manicure even with the mild household products. Hot water is no good for it either, not speaking of sponges, wipes and cleansing powders.

7. Don't forget about your manicure.

If your manicure is finished that doesn't mean that you shouldn't take care of it. If you reapply top coat every one – two days, you won't have to repair nasty flakes. Cuticle oil care is good for your manicure too – skin is moisturized and a thin water-repelling oil film is formed.
